A rival to the popular featherweight tracker, Hermes is designed to be a medium range tracker with GNSS. While the board is bigger than other trackers the overall footprint is smaller as no external antennas are needed. Having been involved with numerous launches I have witnessed first had the frustration that comes with a rocket that flies out of sight and is unable to be located. While adding existing trackers is a valid solution they are often very expensive and the software is sometimes rudimentary at best. To address these problems I designed Hermes. Using proven hardware and circuits I reduced development time to a single evening for the first revision that is now pending internal review. While Hermes is still very early in development with only an approximate total of twelve hours work put into it I plan take this device to market within the next year.
